Pensacola State College Volleyball wrapped up its 2025 season with a top-10 finish at the NJCAA Division II Championship in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This marks the program's third consecutive national tournament appearance, following a Final Four run in 2023 and a top-10 standing in 2024.
Entering the tournament as the No. 12 seed, the Pirates battled their way into the top bracket after a thrilling five-set upset over No. 5 seed Johnson County in the opening round. PSC advanced to the quarterfinals the next day but fell to No. 4 seed Kansas City Kansas in straight sets. On Day 3, the Pirates bounced back with a sweep of No. 11 Madison College, keeping their hopes alive for a fifth-place finish. Later that evening, PSC closed out its season in a hard-fought five-set battle against top-seeded Kirkwood.
The Pirates finished the year with a 15-5 record in Sun-Lakes Conference play and 28-12 overall.

PSC opened the tournament with a statement win over Johnson County. The Pirates tallied 66 kills, 89 digs, and six blocks in the five-set thriller. Setter Lauren Schuessler recorded a double-double with 40 assists and 14 digs, while freshman Kendall Judge added 12 assists and 10 digs off the bench. Offensively, Maddie Goodwin led with 14 kills and 11 digs, supported by Catie Woolf (13 kills), Reece Varden (11), and Danielle Lee (11). Libero Addison Danforth anchored the defense with a career-high 33 digs.
Pensacola State 0, Kansas City Kansas 3
(15-25, 23-25, 17-25)
Facing a familiar foe, PSC fell to Kansas City Kansas in straight sets. Despite 28 kills and 54 digs, the Pirates couldn't overcome the Blue Devils' 42 kills and 13 aces. The loss knocked PSC out of championship contention.
Pensacola State 3, Madison College 0
(25-21, 25-22, 25-16)
Determined to finish strong, PSC swept Madison College behind a balanced attack. Varden (12 kills), Woolf (10), and Marisa Beaubien (8) powered the offense, while Schuessler added 30 assists and 12 digs. The Pirates dominated at the net with nine blocks, led by Beaubien (3.5). Danforth and Schuessler each posted 12 digs to secure the win.
Pensacola State 2, Kirkwood 3
(25-11, 25-21, 18-25, 19-25, 13-15)
In their final match, PSC pushed top-seeded Kirkwood to five sets. The Pirates came out swinging, winning the first two sets with 27 kills and just eight errors. Kirkwood rallied in the third and fourth sets, forcing a decisive fifth. PSC fought point-for-point but fell short, 15-13. Woolf led with 13 kills and 10 digs, while Schuessler contributed 32 assists, six kills, and seven digs. Danforth added 21 digs, and Varden and Beaubien chipped in eight kills each.
