Pirates Compete at Region 8 Championship
The Pensacola State College (PSC) Women’s Cross Country Team delivered a strong performance at the Region 8 FCSAA Cross Country Championship, showcasing determination and teamwork against some of Florida’s top competitors.

Sophomore Sydney Smiga led the Lady Pirates with an impressive time of 27:15, setting a solid pace for the team. Annahbella Hill, a freshman, followed close behind with a time of 28:27, demonstrating great potential in her debut collegiate season. Fellow freshman Briana Morris rounded out the team's efforts, finishing in 34:51, showing perseverance and continued improvement throughout the season.
The Region 8 Championship marked a significant milestone for PSC's growing cross country program, highlighting both leadership from returning athletes and the promising talent of new runners.
Pensacola will now set their sights on the NJCAA National Half Marathon Championship in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on November 11, where they will represent Pensacola State College on the national stage.
