The Pensacola State volleyball team dropped a tough match 3-2 to Gulf Coast State.
The Pirates got in the win column first by taking the first set 25-18 before the Commodores pulled even by winning the second set. The third set took extra points, but the Pirates won that one 26-24 before Gulf Coast rebounded to win the last two sets to claim the match victory.
Cameron Rueschenberg recorded a match high 14 digs to lead the offense while Baylee Young played stellar defense and tallied 18 digs on the day.
The Pirates will travel to Coastal Alabama-Brewton on Wednesday, September 19 for a non-conference matchup.
