PSC set the tone early, coming out hot in the first quarter and outscoring Gulf Coast 21–18. Paris Anderson sparked the early momentum, scoring 13 points in the opening frame and leading all scorers with an aggressive offensive attack. The strong start showcased the Lady Pirate's ability to push the pace and capitalize on scoring opportunities early.
Gulf Coast began to find its rhythm in the second quarter, using efficient shooting and defensive pressure to build separation heading into halftime. PSC continued to battle, relying on balanced scoring and energy from its bench to stay within reach.
Anderson finished as PSC's top scorer, while Judea Hastings, Shania Beeks, Dayla Christopher, and Brooke Jackson each added eight points apiece, highlighting the team's offensive balance. PSC was effective from long range, knocking down shots from beyond the arc for a total of 21 points from three-point territory.
Defensively, PSC applied pressure throughout the game, forcing 17 Gulf Coast turnovers. Those takeaways translated directly into offense, as PSC converted the miscues into 17 points. The Pirates also received a solid contribution from their bench, which accounted for 25 points and provided a consistent spark off the sideline.
