PSC controlled the tempo for most of the game, holding the lead heading into the fourth quarter. However, Gulf Coast State flipped the momentum in the final period, outscoring the Lady Pirates 26–5 to overcome PSC's advantage and secure the win.
Tamya Hutchinson delivered a strong performance, recording a double‑double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Her presence on the boards helped PSC maintain control early.
