Lady Pirates Dominate North Arkansas in 81–60 Victory

The Lady Pirates delivered a commanding performance against North Arkansas, securing an impressive 81–60 win and showcasing their strength on both ends of the floor.

From the opening tip, Pensacola State dictated the tempo, applying relentless defensive pressure that forced 29 North Arkansas turnovers. That defensive intensity fueled transition opportunities and kept North Arkansas on its heels throughout the night.

Offensively, the Lady Pirates caught fire from beyond the arc, knocking down 12 three‑pointers in one of their best perimeter shooting displays of the season. The scoring was balanced and efficient, led by standout guard Tamya Hutchinson, who paced all scorers with 20 points. Cassidy Gladney added another strong performance with 13 points, helping maintain momentum through all four quarters.

Amari Johnson contributed nine points, while Dayla Christopher added eight, giving Pensacola State consistent production across the lineup.

In addition to their hot shooting and disruptive defense, the Lady Pirates dominated the glass, especially on the offensive end, where they secured 17 offensive rebounds. That second‑chance effort repeatedly extended possessions and wore down the North Arkansas defense.
