The Pensacola State women's basketball team had a hard time finding their footing Saturday night against Chipola.
After Chipola jumped out to a 27-14 lead in the first quarter, the Lady Pirate defense picked up the intensity but the lids never came off the baskets for them and they fell 73-58.
Kaiya Burnett led PSC with 17 points while Khadija Chmbless contributed 14. ZaMaria Polk recorded a double-double as she pulled down a game high 14 rebounds to go along with 10 points.
The Lady Pirates will travel to Tallahassee on Wednesday to face the Eagles at 5:30 pm est.
