Softball Has Four Sign to Move On
Four Pensacola State softball players have signed to continue their playing careers at the next level.

Catcher Maddy Childs and shortstop Ellie Hansen will both move on to Flagler University.
Childs was a First Team All-Panhandle selection who batted .326 and hit a team high 11 homeruns and 47 runs batted in.
Hansen received a Second Team All-Panhandle nod while batting .361 with a team leading 15 doubles and 42 runs batted in.
Flagler is an NCAA Division II school who plays in the Peach Belt Conference. Head Coach Kathryn Geouge led the Saints to a 16-20 overall record this past season.
Second baseman, utility player Sajarie Jones will join her former teammates in the Peach Belt Conference playing at Lander University next season.
Jones received All-Panhandle Honorable Mention this year while serving as leadoff batter for the Pirates. The fleet of foot lefty batted .312 and led the team with 20 stolen bases.
Lander is in Greenwood, South Carolina and is led by Head Coach Glen Crawford who guided the Bearcats to a 16-22 record last season.
Lastly, Jessica Ford will continue her playing career across town at the University of West Florida.
The outfielder swings a powerful bat and drove in 19 RBI's while batting .289 this past season while dealing with an ankle injury that caused her to miss 13 games.
The Virginia native will join an Argonaut team that is led by Head Coach Ashleigh Mclean and was 33-16 last season while reaching the NCAA Division II Tournament for the fifth consecutive year.
