Freshman Avery Beauchaine was named the Region 8 Pitcher of the Week for her performance this past weekend in Clearwater.
Beauchaine started against St. John's River on Friday and threw a no-hitter. The J.M. Tate product was one out away from recording a perfect game.
Nevertheless she controlled the game and struck out two to obtain her first college win.
