The Pensacola men's basketball team fell 89-73 to Gulf Coast State on Military Appreciation Night.
The Pirates stacked up well statistically on offense against the Commodores, but fell short under the boards as they were out rebounded 37-15.
Pensacola fought the whole game and outscored Gulf Coast in the second half, but the deficit was too great.
There were four Pirates in double digit scoring with Truth Harris leading the way with 18 while also adding five assists. Zondrick Garrett fell just short of a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. Jarveil Gainey added 16 points and D'Anthony Pennington chipped in 11 points.
Next up for the Pirates is Chipola on Saturday night and they are scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 pm in Marianna, Florida.
