The Pirates lost a 52-51 heartbreaker to Tallahassee on Wednesday night.
D'Anthony Pennington hit a clutch 3-point basket to put the Pirates up by one with just seconds left in the game. Tallahassee pushed down the court and Dericko Williams hit a lay up with 2.5 seconds left to give the Eagles the win.
Both teams struggled shooting the ball the entire game as Tallahassee shot 3-for-17 from the three point arc, while Pensacola was not much better going 4-of-16. Pensacola shot just 36% overall for the game.
Justin Moore led the Pirates with 14 points while D'Anthony Pennington added 12 and Truth Harris contributed 11. Zondrick Garrett pulled down a team high seven rebounds.
Pensacola will hit the road Saturday, January 15th, to take on the Raiders of Northwest Florida State College.
