The Pensacola State men’s basketball team opened up their season with a tough overtime loss versus Florida Coastal Prep (FCP) on Tuesday.
The Pensacola State men's basketball team opened up their season with a tough overtime loss versus Florida Coastal Prep (FCP) on Tuesday.
FCP was up by as many as 14 points early in the first half and could not miss as they shot 52% from the field and 48% from the 3-point line. FCP was led by Kylin Green who scored 22 points, Judd Coan who contributed 19 (connecting on 5 of 3-point shots), and Brandon Maclin finishing with 13 points respectively.
The Pirates were led by sophomore guard Naim Miller who finished with 21 points and added seven rebounds. Zondrick Garrett added 14 points, and Tre Valeriano finished with 11 points.
The Pirates were scheduled to face Action Academy Friday, November 5th, however due to a positive Covid-19 test from Action Academy, the game has been cancelled. The Pirates will play at home Saturday, November 6th, at 5:00pm vs Potter's House.
