Pensacola State (20-25, 3-13) had trouble getting out of the first inning as 8 Tallahasse batters crossed the plate in a 16-7 loss. Jake Sweeney would get the start for the Pirates and could not record an out. The left hander would walk five of the six batters he faced to give Tallahassee a 2-0 lead. Logan Smith would then come in on the mound and allow 6 more runs in the frame. Pensacola would try to get back in the game as the Pirates hit 4 homeruns on the night but Tallahasee's offense was too much for PSC. Pensaccola was led offensively by Chayce Bryant who was 3-4 with 2 homeruns and 4 RBI's. Luke Coker went 2-4 with a homerun, and Ryan Brewer would hit his team-leading sixth homerun of the year while going 2-4 with two RBI's.
The Pirates will be back in action Friday as they travel to Niceville to take on NWF at 5:00pm.
