Julie Burger was named Pensacola State’s Head Coach of Women’s Cross Country for the return of the program in the fall of 2019. Adding to the strong running community in the Gulf Coast, she is excited to welcome student athletes to the Pirate Family.
Burger ran track and cross country in high school and continued to be an avid runner and former triathlete who has participated in many local races. She also holds the faculty position of Pharmacy Technician Program Director at Pensacola State College and is an experienced community health provider, educator, and administrator.
As Pensacola State College adds its sixth active sports team she looks forward to adding well-rounded students to the team. “I am looking to recruit women willing to work hard at both their athletic and academic studies. Running and education are both life-long pursuits requiring strong will, determination, and dedication. Pushing limits and your own abilities is part of the student experience and I am excited to lead the women of cross country in their endeavors.”
