Volleyball Wins on Sophomore Night

The Pensacola State volleyball team defeated Coastal Alabama-Brewton in their final match of the season Thursday night. 

The Pirates took the first set 25-21 while the Warhawks bounced back to win the second set, but the Pirates closed out the match by handily winning the third and fourth sets.

Baylee Young was the leading hitter for the Pirates as she pounded out 21 kills in the match while Lauren Raines led the defense with nine digs. 

Prior to the game PSC recognized their sophomores: Annie Bradshaw, Shannon Finneran, Robyn Krause, Katarina Nikolic, Elizabeth Thompson, Mikayla Weichers and Baylee Young. Coach Belarmino said, "Today was a celebration of the sophomore class and all that they have achieved at Pensacola State College. The match against Coastal Alabama-Brewton was a great team effort in the 3-1 win."
