Volleyball Hits the Road to Daytona

The Pensacola State Volleyball team hit the road and played four games in Daytona Beach against some tough competition. 

They faced the host team in their first match and fell 3-0 to Daytona State. The offense never quite got going, but Elizabeth Thompson did lead the attack with eight kills in the match while Lauren Raines and Baylee Young both picked up 13 digs on defense.

In the second match of the weekend the Pirates faced Palm Beach State and dropped that game 3-0. The offense was led by Katarina Nikolic as she picked up nine kills while Young collected 10 digs on defense.

On Saturday PSC kicked off play with a 3-0 loss to Hillsborough Community College. Thompson and Nikolic both recorded six kills in the match and Young again anchored the defense with nine digs.

In the final match of the weekend the Pirates were defeated 3-0 by Monroe College. Lauren Oglesby was the leading hitter with eight kills while Raines and Cameron Rueschenberg each tallied nine digs.
