Volleyball Picks Up Two Wins

The Pensacola State College (PSC) Volleyball team hosted a tournament at the Milton campus and picked up two wins this past weekend. 

They started things off with a solid 3-0 win over Coastal Alabama-Brewton. Natalie Woods led the offensive attack with 10 kills in the match while Baylee Young added a team high 15 digs on defense. 

In the second match of the day the Pirates fell to Lawson State Community College 3-1. Three Pirates (Natalie Woods, Elizabeth Thompson & Shannon Finneran) tallied a match high seven kills in the game. Young collected a season high 24 digs for PSC.

Saturday saw the Pirates add another win to their record with a 3-0 victory over Snead State Community College. Thompson recorded 10 kills in the match while Baylee Young picked up 17 digs on defense.

In the final match of the weekend PSC fell to Gadsden State Community College 3-0. Katarina Nikolic led the offense with eight kills and Young anchored the defense again with 13 digs.

The Pirates are now 5-4 overall on the season.
