Despite having a limited roster on Wednesday night the Lady Pirates fought hard and lost a close game to Chipola 73-64.
The injury bug has hit Pensacola State and the women played the whole game with only six players. Kaiya Burnett led the Lady Pirates in the scoring column with 19 points on the night. Three other players reached double-digit scoring: Anita Payne (12 points), Zamaria Polk (10 points) and Kailya Jackson (10 points). Polk also work hard on the glass and pulled down nine rebounds throughout the game.
Pensacola State will close out their season at home on Saturday, February 23rd against Tallahassee. It will be Sophomore Night and they will be honoring their four sophomores: Kailya Jackson, Sade Mobley, Savannah Lafler-Walker & Brandi Washington.
