The Pensacola State women's basketball team fell behind early on Saturday versus Gulf Coast State and was not able to recover.
The Commodores took a 37-32 lead into halftime and the Lady Pirates outscored them 13-10 in the third quarter to pull within five, but that was as close as they would get.
Brandi Washington led all scorers in the game with 20 points while also collecting six rebounds in the game. Kaiya Burnett scored 14 points and dished out four assists in the game while Anita Payne came off the bench to score 13 points.
Pensacola State will travel to Marianna, Florida on Wednesday to face Chipola College at 5:30 pm.
