Former Lady Pirate basketball standout Autumn Jones helped her University of Buffalo squad advance to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Women's Basketball tournament last night.
The Bulls are the no. 11 seed in their region took down no. 3 seed Florida State University 86-65 on the Noles home court. This was two days after they scored their first upset of the tournament by defeating no. 6 University of South Florida 102-79 in the opening round.
Buffalo will now travel to Albany to face the defending national champion South Carolina on Saturday.
Jones has seen quality minutes off the bench this season and is averaging 6.7 points per game.
