The Lady Pirates started fast and cruised to a 96-53 win over visiting Bishop State Tuesday evening. The win improved their record to 11-0 for the season. Ta'Sheanne Armstrong and Brandi Washington provided the sparks offensively as Armstrong led all scorers with 21 points while Washington was close behind with 19. Nia Johnson and Naterria Luster both chipped in 11 points each in the game. Eleven Lady Pirates saw action in the game and 10 of them ended up in the scoring column in an overall strong offensive performance.
Aminat Jubril cleaned things up on the glass as she grabbed a game high 11 rebounds, four of them being on the offensive side. Bishop State found themselves overmatched on defense and the quick Lady Pirates recorded 26 steals in the game with Sade Mobley leading the charge with eight.
The Lady Pirates will travel to Jacksonville this weekend for the Florida College Women's Basketball Shootout where they will face Santa Fe College and Broward College.
