Stedman Allen enters his first season as Assistant Coach for the Pirates Men’s Basketball Team.
Last year Coach Allen was the Assistant Basketball Coach at William Woods University while he pursued his Master’s degree. During the 2016-17 season, Allen played professionally in Zamora, Spain in the Silver League. Besides playing professionally, Allen was an assistant coach for Riverdale County High School Boy’s JV Basketball team in 2016-17.
Allen played collegiately at Wagner College in 2014-15 and at Angelo State University in 2015-16 where received his degree in Business Administration. Besides excelling on the court as a starter all four years, Allen made the dean’s list during his undergraduate degree program. He was Athlete of the Year while at Labette Community College.
In 2011, Allen was a McDonald’s All-American Nominee.
In his private life, Allen is the Founder and CEO of Young, Humble, Beast, LTD. Allen formed the nonprofit to help student-athletes in the inner-city excel in basketball, through high level training camps, mentoring services, and character development.
Allen also worked as a Fastbreak/BSNY Skill Development Trainer. Here he helped build the skills of young adults from the ages of 6-18 with one-on-one and group training.
Allen comes to Pensacola State College from the Bronx, New York. He will finish his Masters in Sports Management in December.
