Lady Pirates Defeated by Chipola

The no. 12 Lady Pirates were defeated 80-66 by no. 3 Chipola on Saturday. Ahyiona Vason and Ta’Sheanne Armstrong were high scorers, both recording 15 points. Mylashia Yancey chipped in 12 points while Xana Dove recorded a double-double scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

Lady Pirates Topped by Gulf Coast

On Wednesday night in a fast paced conference game the No. 2 Gulf Coast Commodores outran the No. 12 Pensacola State Lady Pirates. The Commodores (20-1, 3-1) sprinted out to a 34-19 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. The defending National Champions used an exceptional shooting night, 50.6% from the field, to maintain control through out the game.

Lady Pirates Outlasted by Northwest Florida State

The Lady Pirates lost a close match to conference opponent Northwest Florida State on Wednesday. The Raider jumped out to a 36-27 first half lead and were able to hold on for the win despite being outscored in both the 3rd and 4th quarters by the Lady Pirates.

Lady Pirates Ranked #3 in FCSAA Poll & Vason Named Player of the Week

In the new Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) poll the Lady Pirates climbed two spots to #3 this week.  The Lady Pirates currently hold a record of 16-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. All of the top five positions in the poll are held by Panhandle Conference teams with Gulf Coast State remaining in number one.


 PSC Men’s Basketball is in the meat of their schedule as they opened up conference play last weekend. The Pirates are 10-6 on the year and 0-1 in conference after dropping their last game to Tallahassee. With a primarily young group, the Pirates have shown some flashes of growth and are getting consistent minutes from a few players.

Lady Pirates Open Conference Play With Win

(15) PSC 100 (11) TCC 89

The 15th ranked Lady Pirates defeated 11th ranked Tallahassee Community College 100-89 to open Panhandle Conference play. The Lady Pirates had four players score in double figures with Autumn Jones leading the way with 21 points. Ahiyona Vason was the only player to record a double-double by scoring 19 points and dishing out 11 assists.

Lady Pirates Defeat Patrick Henry 100-50


(#15) PSC 100 Patrick Henry 50

The Lady Pirates made short work of Patrick Henry handily beating them 100-50. It was the fourth time this season the Lady Pirates have scored at least 100 points.

Nia Johnson came off the bench to lead all scorers with 25 points while also swiping 6 steals.

Lady Pirates Hand #4 ranked Shelton State First Loss of Season

The #15 ranked Lady Pirates (14-1) returned from Christmas break to defeat #4 ranked Shelton State (13-0) 75-67 in a tough fought game. The taller Buccaneers took a 30-29 lead going into halftime, but the Lady Pirates found their shooting strokes in the second half to help them take and maintain the lead. They shot 50.8% from the field and 58.4% from the 3-point line in the second half.

Lady Pirates Win Over Chattanooga State


In their last game before Christmas the Lady Pirates (13-1) defeated Chattanooga State (2-7) 87-56. Ta’Sheanne Armstrong lead the offense with 17 points and 3 assists.

Lady Pirates Down Chattahoochee Valley

The #19 ranked Lady Pirates defeated Chattahoochee Valley 78-60. Autumn Jones was the top performer as she racked up 23 points and 12 rebounds. Xana Dove was close behind with 22 points and 14 rebounds while Mylashia Yancey contributed 17 points and 9 rebounds.

The Lady Pirates will return to action at home on Tuesday, December 13th at 2:00p.m. versus Chattanooga State.
